Dear Parents,
I'd like to invite your child to join the middle school Cross Country team this coming fall. Your child will...
Learn how to set and achieve goals: Cross Country will teach your student valuable life skills such as teamwork, discipline, and goal setting. They will learn how to set realistic goals and how to work hard to achieve them.
Get in shape for winter sports: For example, we have many basketball players use Cross Country as a way to stay in shape during the off-season. Cross Country can help your child improve their speed, agility, and endurance, which will all be beneficial no matter what other sports they move on to for the rest of the school year.
Make new friends: Our school is growing and Cross Country is a great way to make new friends and build relationships with other students. The team is a close-knit group of kids who support each other through thick and thin.
Be part of a team that accepts all participants regardless of ability: The Cross Country team is a welcoming environment where all participants are accepted regardless of their ability. Whether your child has never ran before in their life or they are chasing school records, we have a spot for them.
Compete and have fun: Our team loves to compete, go after records, win races and train hard while still having fun. Even if you're not the fastest runner, you can still enjoy Cross Country. It's all about competing against yourself and trying to improve your own personal best.
