2A CLASSIFICATION
-Declo is good. At this point there is not much more to it than that. The Hornets obliterated Buhl 68-0. Keegan Duncan was phenomenal offensively in the first half, rushing for 114 yards and three touchdowns and receiving three passes for 139 yards and two touchdowns through the air. He also picked off a Jade Juker pass and had reservations for six in the end zone for a 54-yard pick six.
-Aberdeen quarterback Matthew Klassen was hurt in the first quarter of the Tigers 36-8 conference win against Bear Lake. He did not return, as backup Alex Cerna handled the offense the rest of the way for Jeff Duffin’s team.
-Cole Valley’s defense has been an unmovable wall this year. For the third time in four games, the Chargers shut an opponent out, holding Marsing to 78 yards and forcing turnovers in a 33-0 win. Cole Valley is now 4-0 on the season.
-Grangeville’s Tescher Harris and Booker Bush were dialed in against McCall-Donnelly, connecting 13 times for 210 yards and three touchdowns. West Side’s Enoch Ward also had an impressive individual night, scoring three touchdowns in a 35-7 win on the road against a previously unbeaten Ririe team. As a team, North Fremont ran for over 500 yards to defeat Soda Springs 57-14.
-Trailing 16-0 after a quarter, Wendell won a thriller 29-28 in overtime against Payette. Kyler Lukesh ran in the tying score after a Pirates touchdown to start overtime and Trojans kicker Felipe Paniagua kicked the game-winning extra point to give Cody Howerton’s team its second win of the season. Tristan Wert threw three touchdowns for Wendell and Lukesh ran for 125 yards. Ben Orozco Diaz had ten tackles.
