Cole Valley Chargers helped secure a win for Meridian High School against Caldwell Unified High Schools on Tuesday afternoon. The girls team won 105-64, while the boys team walked away with a 91-77 win.
Freshman Julia Hill won the 500 yard freestyle with a personal best time of 6:08.30. Junior Hannah McHenry won the 50 yard freestyle with a time of 29.24. The 200 medley relay team of Tyra Cacka, Hannah McHenry, Julia Hill and Autumn Peterson finished 3rd overall. Hill was also the lead off swimmer on the winning 400 freestyle relay team, and Cacka helped her 200 freestyle relay team to a win. Hill finished 2nd overall in the 200 yard IM with a new best time of 2:40.57, and McHenry was 2nd overall in the 100 yard breaststroke (1:22.58).
Sophomore Josh Prudhomme helped his 200 medley relay team to a 3rd place finish, swimming the breaststroke leg in a time of 36.47.
Nice work, Charger swimmers! The next meet for both JV and Varsity will be an invitational this Saturday, September 11th at 11:30am at Meridian Pool.
