Bogus has confirmed that if you arrive early, either their staff or the race advisors there can give instruction - it will most likely be informal, so you may need to let them know you could use a little instruction. This isn't an official Bogus training session. I will give you my tidbit of instruction - don't put your weight behind you - you will end up on your behind. Lean slightly forward in an athletic stance, and the rest will start to feel natural after a little practice.
All but Ethan, Ben, and Joel are also racing in different categories. There is room for them to keep their downhill stuff on the second floor of the Nordic lodge while they are Nordic racing. Of course, skiis can be kept outside the lodge.
Once they are done with the Nordic race, they can leave their Nordic skis outside the Nordic lodge (or return their rentals if that's what they did), and catch the Bogus shuttle by the porta potties, across from the tubing hill. It will take them to the lift by Simplot Lodge. They can take that lift up to their other races.
Parking is at a premium at the top, and the shuttles don't go there, so if you are a non-skiing parent, I would drop off your student at the Nordic lodge and head up to park in/near the Bitterroot parking lot so you can watch those races. You wouldn't be able to see them Nordic anyway... because Nordic.
You now have the names of the 6 skiiers who will all be needing to shift from Nordic to other categories, so they can coordinate and head to the shuttle together. No one will officially be coordinating that, so you'll want to talk to your student ahead of time to look out for a buddy if you are wanting them to do that.
Hope that helps. I promise it will be chaotic the first race. I also promise it will get smoother and make more sense to you as it goes on.
