Sophomore swimmer JD Jordan competed in three events for the team on Saturday, as they competed in the Nampa Invitational at the Nampa Recreation Center. Jordan raced well individually, dropping 1.3 seconds from his last 100 butterfly race, finishing with a time of 1:17.28. The time was 7th place overall, scoring 4 points for his team. He was also a member of the 200 freestyle A relay team of Noah Peterson, Jordan, Carlton Hayden and Cameron Perrigo. The team finished 5th place overall, scoring 16 points for the Mavericks. Unfortunately, a team member disqualified the 400 freestyle relay team that Jordan competed on, but JD still gave it his all for the team.
The team returns in action on Tuesday at 5:00pm at the West Boise YMCA as they compete in the Centennial Invitational.
