On Friday, January 17th, the boys’ varsity team lost an away game against Marsing. The Chargers started rough, unable to score for the first few minutes of the game. First quarter ended 7-10, Huskies in the lead. Baker, Steele, and Harmon scored in the second quarter, making the score 16-13 at half.
Marsing came back, ready to fight in the second half. The Chargers struggled to score against their ball pressure and size. Third quarter ended, 20-26, Marsing. For the final quarter, both teams scored more than they had in any other period of the game. Steele had nine points in the fourth quarter alone, and Cucchiari had a spin move and an and one for a total of three points.
The final score was 34-45, Marsing victory.
Lakota Steele led with 13 points.
