Freshman swimmer Nickel Schroeder finished the high school season with big time drops in the District III JV Championship held at the College of Idaho. He finished 10th overall in the 200 yard freestyle, dropping 7 seconds from his previous best time. He bettered that finish in the 100 yard butterfly, competing well with a 6th place finish in a time of 1:31.67. As the only swimmer representing Cole Valley, he helped the Chargers finish the meet 10th out of 12 teams.
Next up is the Idaho 4A State High School Swimming Championships on Friday, November 8th at the West Boise YMCA. Cole Valley will be represented by Hannah McHenry, Tyra Cacka, Maddie Hess and Maddie Matthews. The racing will begin at noon and Chargers will compete in the 200 yard medley relay, 50 yard freestyle, 200 yard freestyle relay and the 100 yard breaststroke.
