The Cole Valley Girls took on Melba Girls in Volleyball in their fourth game of the season. Cole Valley Girls started out even with Melba 4-4. Brooke Weimer with the first kill to get to 6-4. Madeline Cooke with another kill to get the girls to 10-6. Desirae Kingery had a momentous block to get the girls to 13-6. Ellie Fraas with a kill which got the girls to 16-8. The girls finished out the set winning 25-13. In the second Desirae Kingery with another kill to bring us to 5-2. We battled back and forth to get to 15-7, when Melba took control and brought it to 18-13. Brooke Weimer quickly ended that with a kill to bring it to 19-13. We finished out the set 25-16. In the third Melba caught us by suprise as we started out 5-9. We came brought it back to 10-9, when Melba pushed ahead again to bring it to 10-15. Desirae Kingery with a big kill to get us to 14-15. Madeline Cooke had 2 kills in a row to bring it to 16-18. We went back in fourth bringing it to 22-23. Brooke Weimer with another kill to bring it to 24-23. However Melba scrambled to win 26-24. In the fourth Ellie Fraas started out with a kill to get our momentum going. We lead 9-6 as we battle back and fourth. We pull out ahead and are up 23-19 when Madeline Cooke had two kills in a row to give the Cole Valley Girls the victory 25-20 and 3-1 overall.
